Philadelphia, PA Yards Brewing Company, Philly’s Brewery since 1994, is thrilled to announce that PYNK,their sparking tart berry ale, will be available year-round in 12-ounce cans beginning this July. Adding to the excitement for this beloved brand,Yards will release a limited number of cans to guests of the PYNK Affair, Yards’ summertime beer & music bash on June 30th, before the cans are available anywhere else.After their launch at the PYNK Affair, PYNK cans will be distributed throughout Yards' four state footprint,PA, NJ, DE, and MD.
Yards PYNK is a light-bodied and effervescent tart berry ale with 5.5% alc. by vol. Every sip starts with a cherry and raspberry zing then finishes refreshingly dry. Yards has brewed and packaged PYNK seasonally in bottles and kegs since 2013, and transitioned the brand to their year-round portfolio in April 2019.
“Ever since we first bottled PYNK back in 2013, this beer has gotten so much love. It has such a loyal following, like nothing I’ve ever seen. That’s why it was such an easy decision to make this a year-round brand and to put it in cans,” says Yards Founder and Brewmaster Tom Kehoe.
Not only is PYNK a great beer with unique character, Yards donates a portion of every PYNK sold to our local charity partners,” Yards CEO Trevor Prichett adds. Yards has raised nearly $50,000 for the Tyanna Foundation since PYNK was first bottled seasonally in 2013. Now that PYNK is available year-round, Yards has pledged to raise at least $10,000 annually through PYNK sales and special events, like the PYNK Affair,and hopes to raise much more!
PYNK’s biggest fans will have good reason to celebrate at the PYNK Affair. They will get their hands on PYNK cans before anyone else. In addition to exclusive access to this new product (and all drinks included), event goers will enjoy an afternoon of live entertainment, local eats, PYNK swag, and behind-the-scenes access to the Yards brewery, warehouse and pop up beer garden, all for a great cause. A portion of event proceeds will benefit Yards’ local cancer charity partners,Tyanna Foundation and Twist Out Cancer.
