The Health Benefits of Beer
You heard us right. Beer has a bad rap when it comes to health. While some people swear by moderate wine consumption and its health benefits, few do the same for beer. Beer is often associated with a beer belly, an alcoholic, and other negative stereotypes.

There is truth to that. Alcohol should be consumed in moderation, and too much can lead to a slew of negative health effects. However, having a beer on occasion may actually be good for you, and we are going to explain why.

Treatment for Addiction
If you are suffering from severe depression, anxiety, alcohol addiction, or other mental health problems, you may want to speak to a counselor or a therapist for help. There are many online counseling resources that can make the process much easier. Sites such as Regain can help you speak to a counselor on your own terms. For more information, click this link:

The Social Aspect of It
In order to have a good life, you need a little bit of socializing. Even if you’re introverted, talking to people on occasion is good for the body and mind. One thing beer is good at is getting everyone together. Whether you’re drinking at the bar, cracking open a cold custom grown hop with the boys, or enjoying a beer while watching a show with someone, it can help improve all of it in those regards.

It Has Nutrients
Yes, too much beer can have calories. However, beer is pretty much bread in liquid form and has some nutrients like protein, B vitamins, and antioxidants, too. Okay, there are obviously better ways to get these nutrients, but an occasional glass of beer is certainly a way to get one.

It Can Prevent Diabetes
Do you have a family history of diabetes and are afraid of getting it? Drink more. The European Association for the Study of Diabetes found that if you drink 3 to 4 times every week, you’re less likely to get diabetes. Up to a 21 percent less chance. With that said, if you do have diabetes, watch your alcohol.

Good for Heart Health
Drinking a nice Blackberry lime can be good for the soul. Or at least the heart, anyway. Wine is good for the heart, but beer may have the same benefits. Moderate beer consumers have less of a chance of losing their good cholesterol, and drinking a nice beer every once in a while may lower your risk of cardiovascular disease in general.

It’s Good for Your Bones and the Mind
You may associate calcium with bone building, and vitamin D, but beer may have its own benefits too. Beer has silicon, which can help you bones grow. While it’s not the best way to build your bones, it certainly helps.

But silicon does more than just build your bones. It can help clean out your brain from cognitive disease-causing compounds, as well as give you good cholesterol. Again, drinking too much can impair you, but moderate consumption may be able to help you. Beer can have other benefits too, like inflammation, and helping you clean your teeth.

Conclusion
Beer is frowned upon, and it’s not exactly a family activity (for actual family activities, click here or look here,) but moderate beer consumption maybe good for you. Try it out, and see what all it can do for you. Chances are, you can improve your health immensely in ways you didn’t think were possible. Try it out and see what you can do about your overall health and how you feel.
