Boulder Beer Adding 40th Anniversary Ale & Irish Blessing

Boulder Beer Adding 40th Anniversary Ale

Find this first on mybeerbuzz.com: For as long as I’ve been enjoying good beer, Boulder Beer has clearly been brewing it for much longer.  This is their 40th Anniversary Ale (yes 40 years!) and they have been “crafting fun since 1979.”  This beer will be an oak-aged imperial golden ale with pineapple and champagne yeast.  Look for 40th Anniversary to roll in at 9%-AbV & 40 IBU and you’re looking at the 22oz bottle.  Happy Anniversary Boulder…and stay tuned for release details.

This 26 July 2019 update from Boulder:

To toast our milestone 40th birthday we brewed up a celebratory ale that kicks the party into high gear. A 9% Strong Golden Ale, our 40th Anniversary brew shines with a fruit forward tanginess from the pineapple addition paired with a citrusy hop backbone. Fresh oak chips added to the fermenter while cold-conditioning impart a subtle spicy, oaky flavor. Finally, champagne yeast nicely dries out the brew, leaving you with a crisp, clean, effervescent finish. Party like it’s 1979!

As a bonus, I’ve added in the latest packaging for Irish Blessing oak-aged coffee stout (6.2%-AbV, 40 IBU, 12oz cans). This beer was updated for 2022 (below) to be 7.5%-AbV and 16oz cans.image
