After clearing out numerous inches of snow from their loading docks, the folks at Pike Brewing Company have announced their release schedule for 2019. Included in this list are some familiar favorites as well as some new looks on the India Pale Ale, the Belgian-style Quad, and Flanders-inspired Kriek.
Starting with the familiar Pike Brewing Company maintains their commitment to the oldest of adages, that if it aint broke then don’t fix it. It begins with the announcement that Pike Place Pale Ale, XXXXX Stout, and Nellie will remain on draft and in bottles wherever you currently find Pike Brewing Company beers. In addition to their 'flagship beers' look for Pike IPA, Pike Kilt Lifter, Monk's Uncle, Space Needle, and coming soon Pike Pils (in March 2019).
In addition to the year-round offerings, the brewery is happy to announce three new looks for their IPA with the release of Bitter Lake in April (with availability thru May), Peach in June (with availability thru August), and Reunion in September (with availability thru November). Then, having recently released Mimosa IPA and building on their unique Third Story series, Pike announces the upcoming releases of Blackberry Quad in April, before making room for Lemon Wheat and a beer yet to be announced in July and October respectfully. Rounding out the calendar, the brewery continues it supports of social causes with the releases of Morning After Pale and Pike Pride.
Already 2019 is looking pretty full for the brewery in the Market but they have saved the rarest for last with the announcements of both barrel-aged and fresh hop beers starting with Tripel Kriek in February and Douggie Fresh in September. In addition one can expect to hear about Pike Entire (releasing in November), Wood-aged Kilt Lifter (coming soon in December), and their fresh hop Wolf in the Woods and Space Needle both available September and October. And we almost forgot to mention that both Entire and Wood-aged Kilt Lifter will be released in cans, a first for 2019.
