New Beer & Returning Favorite Will Be Available Beginning This December
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Second Self Beer Company, the craft brewery based in Atlanta, Georgia, will debut two seasonals this December: Nitro Molé Porter (6.5%), a new, limited release beer inspired by annual offering Molé Porter, will join returning winter favorite Olde Oyl (11% ABV), a Russian Imperial Coffee Oatmeal Stout.
Nitro Molé Porter takes Second Self’s Molé Porter (a robust porter made with California, Pasella, and Chipotle chiles, as well as cinnamon, cloves, and cocoa nibs) and uses nitrogen for a creamier, bigger body. The recipe also amps up the flavor of cocoa and mellows out the spices, creating a flavorful beer that isn’t heavy. Suggested pairings include: pork or beef tacos, stews and chilis, gruyere cheese, and chocolate desserts. The beer will be served on draft and in cans for a limited time.
Olde Oyl, a winter staple in Second Self’s line-up, will also be released this December on draft and in 16 oz. cans. A Russian Imperial Coffee Oatmeal Stout, the beer is made with roasted malts and oats to give a rich body and robust aroma, along with coffee from Atlanta roaster Slow Wave Coffee. Suggested pairings include prime rib, roasted mushrooms, French onion soup, sharp cheddar, and chocolate mousse.
Both offerings will be available at Second Self’s taproom in Atlanta (1317 Logan Circle NW) and in shops, restaurants, and bars in Georgia, South Carolina, and Alabama.
