From Tyranena:
Looks like Mother Nature is trying to give us an opportunity to drink some more dark and barrel-aged beer this weekend. Luckily for you, we still have plenty!
Brewers Gone Wild!™ Release on Friday, May 11!
Wrath of Rocky™ is the latest release in our barrel-aged Brewers Gone Wild!™ series and will be available in our Tasting Room starting Friday at 3:00 pm.
Wrath of Rocky™ is our Imperial Brown Ale 100% Aged in Bourbon Barrels... making it a bit of the Father (Mother/Grandfather/Step-Mother/Take Your Pick) of Rocky’s Revenge™ (our brown ale of which a portion is aged in bourbon barrels). The barrel characters are far more pronounced in this fine specimen of a beer, with lots of bourbony, vanilla and oak flavors and aromas. Somewhere along the tasting experience you can tell there is an Imperial Brown Ale in there. Wrath of Rocky is dedicated to our beloved former Beer Ambassador Nick (kinda pictured on the label) who had been begging us to brew this beer for quite some time. Of course, we brewed it only after his departure!
The beer will be available on tap and in 4-packs of bottles (sorry, no growler or howler fills). And, as typical with our barrel-aged Brewers Gone Wild!™ releases, there will also be limited availability of bottles and draft in Madison, Milwaukee, the Fox Valley and locally, probably no earlier than the week after next.
If you come to the brewery, you can compare the barrel-aging impact on our Imperial Brown Ale of three different spirits: Wrath of Rocky™ (aged in bourbon barrels), High Class Broad™ (aged in brandy barrels) and Island Booty™ (aged in rum barrels).
Fargo Brothers Hefeweizen Is Going On Tap... Next Week!
We had our fingers crossed that Fargo Brothers Hefeweizen was going to be on tap this Friday... but we were a little too optimistic (turns out the weather this weekend isn’t going to be too summery anyway). Fargo Brothers will be going on tap next week though!
