From Ninkasi:
Kicking off Valentine’s Day, $5 of Every Yours Truly and Believer Keg Sold at Participating Locations Supports Nonprofits in Oregon, Washington and Colorado
EUGENE, Ore.—Feb. 8, 2018—Ninkasi Brewing Company shows the love this Valentine’s Day with the launch of a two-month give back program called the Beer is Love Keg Campaign. For every keg of Yours Truly Easy-Drinking Ale and Believer Double Red Alesold, $5.00 will be donated to nonprofits in Oregon, Washington and Colorado. Funds collected February 14 through April 14 at participating locations will directly support the work of eight organizations operating in these states.
Established in 2012, Ninkasi’s Beer is Love program supports nonprofits doing work in five core categories—women, equality, recreation, the environment, and arts and music—by offering beer donations for fundraising or volunteer events.
“Through beer, we have supported the work of hundreds of nonprofits in all the states we distribute,” says Emilie O’Neill, national donations manager for Ninkasi. “We are excited to launch the Beer is Love Keg Campaign and continue to give back to organizations who are making a difference in communities that enjoy our beer.”
To take part in the program, beer drinkers are encouraged to order Yours Truly and Believer on-tap starting February 14 through April 14. Participating areas and benefitting nonprofits include:
- Seattle, Washington: The Museum of Flight
- Portland, Oregon: National Forest Foundation’s Eagle Creek Fire Restoration Fund
- Newport to Brookings, OR: Surfrider Foundation Siuslaw Chapter
- Eugene, Oregon: McKenzie River Trust
- Bend, Oregon: World Muse
- Roseburg, Oregon: Treven Anspach Memorial Fund
- Medford, Oregon: The Maslow Project
