Modist Brewing Co. Officially response to Bud Light's Cease and Desist

Modist Brewing Co. Officially response to Bud Light's Cease and DesistFrom Modist:

Back in December 2017, Modist Brewing Co. made a bit of news by launching a beer named “Dilly Dilly” as a well-intentioned poke at the latest Bud Light advertising campaign and by promptly receiving a cleverly-orchestrated cease and desist from ABInbev (check out the coverage here). As part of good-humored slap on the wrist, Bud Light publicly offered Modist 2 tickets to Super Bowl LII taking place just down the street at US Bank Stadium on February 4,
2018. There has been a lot of speculation on the associated social media post about how this tickets will be used. Modist is happy to announce that we will be raffling off the tickets (as a pair) to a lucky winner this coming week as an effort to support local charities. Our official response hits social this afternoon and features our pet stuffed raven (Harry) holding a makeshift “scroll” with the message:

Dearest Bud Light,
Please excuse our lack of actual parchment paper. We would like to sincerely thank you for the Super Bowl tickets and for not suing our hosen off.
As much as we would love to watch our employees joust for a chance to go to the big game, our employees have instead decided to raffle off the tickets to the benefit of our their favorite charities. Di[Censored]y, Di[Censored]y,
Modist Brewing Co.
P.S. We would like to invite you and the rest of the citadel to come try our new
beer:

DUNGEON JUICE
AND please come play in Minnesota's Premier Indoor Pop-Up Inflatable Adult
Human Football playground. Full details on Modistbrewing.Com

DETAILS:
On Tuesday January 30th at 7pm, any interested person will be able to purchase a chance to win said tickets for $25* (for the pair!). We will be limiting the number of entries to 2,000 with a limit of 2 entries per person... so some quick math suggests a person buying 2 raffle tickets has a 1/1000 chance to go to the big game. If their game-time partner purchases to of his/her own, then the odds for the pair improves to 1/500! Please note - the tickets are non-transferable and
we’ll force winners to don Modist garb and photograph themselves at the game.
These seats are pretty amazing: Section 120, Row 18, seats 15 and 16. The current market value of these seats is about $10,000. The winners of this raffle will be selected and announced on Saturday, February 3rd at 9pm at
Modist’s taproom in the North Loop. All proceeds - every single dollar - will be donated to employee-chosen charities (see below for a list). We have invited the fine folks at the Minnesota Craft Brewer’s Guild, who spend all their energy moving MN craft beer forward, to handle the raffle that evening.
For a full list of our charities, please visit our blog post at:

We hope to raise the full $50,000 and split that money evenly across all 25 charities.
STATEMENT FROM THE FOUNDERS:
“This was an easy decision for us. Rather than quibble over who among the 25 members of our company would get to go to the Super Bowl, we thought we could use the tickets as an opportunity to give back to the community that has sustained us for nearly two years now. We have a list of charities that are near and dear to our owners and employees and will be using
100% of the proceeds raised as part of this raffle to benefit those causes and to help focus some attention to them. It’ll also be nice to make two seats - which are currently selling for several thousand dollars each - available to two lucky Minnesotans who may not otherwise be able to afford them. It’s a win-win-win and we’re grateful for Bud Light’s generosity - they didn’t have to give us those tickets.”

ADDITIONAL GOINGS-ON:
Additionally and as part of the Super Bowl festivities, Modist will launch a brand new beer called “Dungeon Juice” - a delicious IPA brewed from oats, wheat, and Golden Promise barley and then dry hopped with an exorbitant amount of Simcoe, Azacca, and Citra hops. The beer will released in the taproom starting at 5pm on Tuesday, January 30th and only 300 crowlers will be available for purchase (limit 3 per person). Last but not least, Modist will also host the first ever (and maybe last ever) “Minnesota's Premier Pop-Up Inflatable Adult Human Football Playground” in their expansive indoor warehouse space. This will consist of several football-themed, inflatable games - just for fun!
