Say hello to Blanc Tarte Barrique! The New Year is bringing tons of good beer, including this zesty and sour brew. Blanc Tarte Barrique starts out as a saison with Chinese ginger, Seville orange peel, and grains of paradise before being fermented with Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus in our giant wooden foeders at Cellar 3. It’s transferred into red and white wine barrels and aged between 12 and 36 months. Our Barrelmaster then skillfully blends the liquid to create a perfectly balanced sour. We call this beer our Californian interpretation of a Belgian Lambic. This masterful creation features notes of crisp apple, lemon, and aromatic verbena, with a stalky and nuanced farmhouse finish.
