Allagash Saison Gratis Coming To Bottles

Allagash Saison Gratis Coming To Bottles

This morning we have a previously draft-only beer now making it’s way to bottles in 2018.  This is Saison Gratis from Allagash Brewing in Portland, ME and it is a saison ale hopped in the Allagash coolship.  This beer is bottle conditioned with brettanomyces and the beer will hit 6.7%-AbV.  Stay tuned for release info.  This is the 127oz bottle.image

Here is the commercial description from Allagash:

This saison-style ale is set apart by the fact that we added hops—Calista, Grundgeist, and Strisselspalt—while it rested in our coolship and then open fermented it with saison yeast. Esters hinting at everything from orange, to pineapple, to clove spring from this beer’s nose. Its flavor spreads across the palate with the slightest hint of citrus and finishes with a balance of fruit, hops, and a dry mouthfeel.
