From Shmaltz:
Clifton Park, NY -- Tuesday, November 21, 2017 -- Don't get trampled... get beer! Shmaltz Brewing Company continues its yearly tradition of inviting their favorite local breweries to showcase their finest dark beers on the biggest retail day of the year. Shmaltz Brewing hosts the 5th Annual Black Friday Black Beer Fest with seven revered breweries this Friday, November 24, 2017 from 4 pm - 8 pm. In addition to Shmaltz, the following breweries will feature exceptional dark beers: the NEW Fort Orange Brewing, Artisanal Brew Works, Adirondack Brewery, and Table 41 Brewing. Beers will also be available from Chatham Brewing, Mill House Brewing Company and Twin Fork Beer Company.
It wouldn't be Black Friday without some shopping so Shmaltz will have onsite vendors selling some awesome merchandise and all breweries have been invited to bring merchandise to sell as well. A $20 ticket gets you 6 drink tokens, a 6 oz. sample glass, a 22 oz. bottle of your choice of one of Shmaltz's vintage beers, and 20% off beer to go. Wood fired pizza by 9 Miles East, and coffee will be available by Wired Coffee. Live music from Frank Murray and a pop-up koozie decorating bar by Bash Birthday Parties. Tickets are available via Eventbrite.
About Shmaltz Brewing Company
Founder and owner Jeremy Cowan established Shmaltz Brewing in San Francisco in 1996. The first 100 cases of He'brew Beer® were hand-bottled and delivered throughout the Bay Area from the back of his Grandmother's Volvo. Shmaltz Brewing now sells He'brew Beer across 35 states, through 40 wholesalers and in nearly 5,000 retailers.
After 17 years of being an outspoken cheerleader for contract brewing, Cowan and staff opened their own New York State production brewery in 2013 in Clifton Park, 10 minutes north of Albany. Shmaltz's home boasts a 50-barrel brewhouse with 30,000 barrels of annual capacity and packages a diverse and tasty variety of core and seasonal favorites in 12 and 22-ounce bottles and kegs. The Shmaltz Tasting Room is open five days a week (Wed-Sun) and offers tours, barrel-aged previews, beer-to-go, and special releases.
