We brought you a peek at Pumpkinator & Bourbon Pumpkinator, and now this rom Saint Arnold:
Pumpkinator 2017 Coming Monday, October 16
Pumpkinator began life in 2009 as Divine Reserve No. 9 and our answer to how a pumpkin beer ought to taste. Your pleas for its return brought it back in 2011, and the following year, it won a Silver Medal at the World Beer Cup. Now, we release a batch once a year around this time.
Everything is a little over the top with our Imperial Pumpkin Stout, which perversely makes it balanced. Beyond the big malt bill, it has pumpkin (lots of it), molasses, brown sugar and a healthy load of spices. It's 11% ABV which makes it a dessert by itself or the perfect accompaniment to your holiday meal. It is also helpful in coping with those relatives who are convinced that the rest of the world agrees with their politics and you are dying to hear about them.
This is a beer that ages magnificently. Many really enjoy it most after a year or two. If you do want to lay some down, it is best to age this beer at cold temperatures (your refrigerator is highly recommended over your closet).
Pumpkinator will be arriving on Monday, October 16. (Please note that not every account that is getting Pumpkinator will get it that day - some have other delivery days during the week.) You can find Pumpkinator in 22 oz bottles and on tap and cask at select bars and restaurants around town. See below for a list of several events.
Pumpkinator Aged in Bourbon Barrels
But wait! There's more! This year, we are releasing a small batch of Pumpkinator Aged in Bourbon Barrels. These 12 oz bottles will be available on the same day as Pumpkinator. Quantities are very limited.
Like Bishop's Barrel No. 9, this Woodford Reserve bourbon barrel aged version of Pumpkinator is even bigger than the original. The nose is pumpkin spice up front with oak, bourbon, vanilla and dark fruit in the background. The taste starts with sweet chocolate and pumpkin spice up front and finishes with a bit of alcohol heat and spices.
Pumpkinator Aged in Bourbon Barrels comes in at 12.9% ABV.
