We brought you this news already, and now the full details from DuClaw:
We’ve partnered with our friends at Adroit Theory Brewing Company for our latest collaboration brew, taking our combined expertise and love for high ABV dark beers to create a massive Belgian Quad entitled, ‘Oude Rode Ogen’ (Old Red Eyes). Named after the Belgian 17th century legend this 13% ABV brew is truly a monster worthy of its name! Join the brewers of DuClaw and Adroit Theory for a release party on Tuesday, October 24th in downtown Baltimore at Max's Taphouse from 5pm-9pm to taste first hand how sinister this brew really is. Can't make it? Limited amounts of 'Oude Rode Ogen' will be available in 12oz 4packs.
Tasting Notes:
This medium-bodied dark Belgian quad is brewed to style and is then gradually step fed with candi syrup during fermentation to achieve a monstrous 13% ABV. Powerful notes of fig, coffee, and dark stone fruit dominate and compliment the slightly boozy finish.
It all happens Tuesday, October 24th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, see you there!
