This morning you get your first peek at an exciting new brew coming from Troegs. This is The Mad Elf Grand Cru 2017 and it is what they are calling the “Director's Cut” of Mad Elf. This beer celebrates 20-years and it is brewed with tart Balaton cherries, Demerara sugar and Wildflower honey. Look for The Mad Elf Grand Cru to hit 11%-AbV and this is the 750ml bottle. Stay tuned for release info.
This 10/27 update from Troegs:
We’ve been wanting to do this for a while now. If you know Tröegs, you know The Mad Elf, the mischievous Belgian-style ale that helped put our little brewery on the map. In early November, we’re releasing the director’s cut. Demerara sugar and tart Balaton cherries – loads of them – make all the difference. Bottle-conditioned and flush with notes of cinnamon and clove, this beer begs to be shared. Take a bottle home, gather your best friends and cherish the cherries.
