Bruery Terreux - Trail To Beersel

Bruery Terreux - Trail To BeerselThis morning we have another new bottle coming from Bruery Terreux (a division of The Bruery) in Placentia, CA.  This is Train To Beersel and it is an imperial sour ale aged in oak barrels.  This beer pays tribute to the Belgian municipality of “Beersel” and the beer will ride in at 8.4%-AbV.  You’re looking at the 750ml bottle and stay tuned here for 2017 release info.

5 Oct 2017 from The Bruery :

GABF kicks off today, and we wanted to share one of the beers we're entering in the competition part of the festival.

Inspired by a trip to Belgium and designed to resemble the character of lambic found in the town of its namesake, Train to Beersel showcases a slightly higher ABV than you’ll find in most other lambics. As such, the body of the beer is more pronounced, adding a certain roundness to the sour notes while elevating the customary level of funk. Additional complexity is derived from extensive aging in once used French Oak Cabernet Sauvignon barrels and once used American Oak Sauvignon Blanc barrels, and by utilizing the time-honored tradition of bottle conditioning with Brettanomyces Lambicus. It’s an inviting combination that’s full of nuanced turns - and an excursion that’s rarely replicated on this side of the globe.

Train to Beersel is now available at both Tasting Rooms by the glass and bottles to-go!

7 Oct 2017 Update from The Bruery:

Train to Beersel wins silver at GABF!

Train to Beersel from Bruery Terreux just won the silver medal in the Wood & Barrel Aged Sour Beer category at the 2017 Great American Beer Festival (GABF)!

We're extremely excited, and we want to share the beer with you! Bottles are now available on TheBrueryStore.com. If you live near Orange County, CA, swing by our Tasting Rooms at The Bruery and Bruery Terreux to try it on tap (and grab a few bottles to go, while supplies last).
