From Jester King:
This Memorial Day weekend, we’re releasing 2017 Boxer’s Revenge — our barrel-aged, sour strong ale! Boxer’s Revenge is a blend of beer fermented with our mixed culture of brewers yeast, native yeast, and native bacteria, aged in oak barrels for 8 to 14 months, blended, and naturally conditioned. It also happens to be the first beer we ever brewed back in 2010.
2017 Boxer’s Revenge, like all its predecessors, is a simple beer. It’s brewed with well water, malted barley from Blacklands Malt, malted wheat, and hops. It was initially fermented with our mixed culture in a stainless steel tank, then transferred to neutral oak barrels for long-term aging and maturation.
This year’s Boxer’s Revenge is 9.5% alcohol by volume, 1.004 specific gravity (1.0 degree Plato), 16 IBU, and 3.4 pH. It was packaged in March and is unfiltered, unpasteurized, and 100% naturally conditioned.
2017 Boxer’s Revenge will be released when our tasting room opens at 4pm on Friday, May 26th. It will be available by the glass and at bottles to go. This year’s blend is pretty big! We’ll have about 6,500 bottles available (750ml/$18). There’s no bottle limit, and we expect some 2017 Boxer’s Revenge to be distributed beyond Jester King. Finally, we’re open this Memorial Day too from 12-9pm. Cheers!
