Catawba Brewing Announces Statewide Distribution in Georgia

By mid-April, Catawba beer will be available for the first time in the Peach State. Catawba Brewing of Asheville, Morganton, and Charlotte, NC is partnering with United Distributors of Smyrna, Albany, and Savannah, GA to launch Catawba beers statewide in Georgia.

“Georgia is an amazing mix of large cities and rural areas, but it seems everyone there shares a love of craft beer. We’ve had so many Georgians visit our NC tasting rooms. They enjoy what we do and wish Catawba products were available in their home state,” says Catawba Owner and CEO Billy Pyatt. "For years I have watched their exploding craft beer scene with both envy and apprehension – we never had the capacity to enter it. After spending over $2 million on production expansions last year, we now make enough beer to join in, contribute, and learn. And we are honored to have United Distributors as our partner in this journey.”

Catawba will enter the Georgia market with four of its most popular offerings: White Zombie™, a Belgian Wit that is the brewery’s flagship beer; Mother Trucker™, an American-style Pale Ale generously hopped with Magnum and Cascade; Farmer Ted, a refreshing Cream Ale that Catawba has been making since 2002; and Peanut Butter Jelly Time, a limited-release light Brown Ale aged on whole roasted peanuts and real raspberries. Cans will be available in grocery and chain stores statewide starting mid-April. Additional year-round, seasonal, and specialty beers, in both draught and cans, will become widely available this summer.
