From Standard.net:
The Ogden Redevelopment Agency, made up of the seven member city council, recently voted to approve a land transfer and development agreement with MacBeer Group, LLC. The agreement involves the city transferring 0.62 acres of land to MacBeer, who will then build a 10,000-square-foot commercial building that will house a brewery and corresponding distribution center.
The site, which sits near the intersection of Exchange Road and B Avenue, was once home to a Purina Dog Chow plant. The former dog food factory was razed earlier this year, and Ogden had previously purchased the three parcels of land underneath it.
Cooper said the MacBeer building is also likely to include retail space for a bike shop and a deli. The agreement stipulates construction on the building must be finished by April 30, 2018.
“We anticipate anywhere from 400 to 700 jobs at the Business Exchange,” Cooper said. “So having these types of things around it is going to be a benefit to those employees.”
