From The Bruery & Brewery Terreux:
PUBLIC DRAFT AND BOTTLE RELEASE
It's August and autumn is on the horizon. Let's celebrate its coming with the public draft and bottle release of our autumn seasonal, Autumn Maple. Brewed with 17 lbs. of yams per barrel (in other words, a lot of yams!), our autumn seasonal is a different take on the “pumpkin” beer style. Brewed with cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, vanilla, molasses and maple syrup, and fermented with our house Belgian yeast strain, this bold and spicy beer is perfect for looking forward to slightly cooler temperatures.
Come on in for a taster, glass, growler or bottles to-go when we open at noon. You'll also find Autumn Maple on TheBrueryStore.com this Friday.
At both of our Tasting Rooms this Friday, we'll be celebrating the public draft and bottle release of the 2016 edition of Sour in the Rye. One of our most anticipated releases each year, Sour in the Rye features a substantial amount of rye malt, which asserts itself with clove and pepper notes in the aroma and flavor, and contributes a fuller body not generally found in sour beers. It's pleasantly sour with notes of tart cherries, grape skin, rustic earth and vanilla from barrel-aging. Bottles will also be available on TheBrueryStore.com.
The third public release this Friday is the third installment in our Frucht series of fruited Berliner Weisse-style beers - Frucht: Yumberry. Known for a tart flavor profile and traditionally low ABV, our German-style wheat beer gains even more funky notes and natural earthy-woodiness from its fermentation in a large, 250 BBL oak foeder vessel. Each installment in the series features a new fruit, or Frucht, if we’re Sprechen sie Deutsch. This installment has yumberries added, which is our first time flirting with this funky fruit. Come see what it tastes like and bring some home with you.
The public bottle release at our Tasting Rooms is exclusively at Bruery Terreux. Bottles will also be available on TheBrueryStore.com.
Mélange #1 was the first in our line of barrel-aged beer blends and continues to be one of our favorites. On Tuesday, bottles make their debut at our Bruery Terreux Tasting Room.
A curious blend of our bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout, Black Tuesday, along with our Flemish-style sour red ale, Oude Tart, Mélange #1 is one of our most unique blends. Forging flavors of toasty oak, vanilla and toffee along with notes of leather and dark fruit, both the full-bodied essence of the bourbon barrel-aged ale and the sour quality of our wild ale are present in this well-rounded beer.
On Tuesday, August 9, bottles go on sale at the Bruery Terreux Tasting Room when we open at noon.
