Today we get our first look at an exciting new beer hitting bottles from Long Trail. This is Citrus Limbo IPA and it looks to be their regular Limbo IPA with grapefruit and tangerine added. As if that’s not fun enough, this beer is dry-hopped with Galaxy & Mosaic hops. You’re looking at the 12oz bottle and the beer will hit 7.6%-AbV and 80 IBU.
This 29 Sep 2016 Updat from Long Trail:
After months of fruitful experimentation, we're proud to announce the release ofCitrus Limbo IPA, a grapefruit- and tangerine-infused version of our Limbo IPA.
If you're not familiar with Limbo IPA's juicy hop profile, then, where have you been the last couple of years?
Seriously, though, Citrus Limbo's fruit-infused take uses essential oils from cold-pressed grapefruit and tangerine peels to yield an added citrus kick toLimbo's already passionfruit-forward flavor.
Cold pressing is a method in which fruits are mechanically pressed to extract their essential oils. For this brew, brewmaster Dave Hartmann and his team set out with the intention of creating a "super juicy" IPA.
“The peels of the fruit contain the super juicy flavors and aromas you want,” Hartmann said. “What we’re basically doing is supplementing the hop oils with this really delicious, citrusy, juicy, aromatic essential oils from tangerine and grapefruit.”

To pull the flavors together, the grapefruit and tangerine essential oils are added to the Galaxy and Mosaic dry-hops, giving Limbo an added citrus punch.
Citrus Limbo IPA is now available in bottles and draught at our Bridgewater Corners brewery. Look for it at your local shop in the coming days.
