New Holland Brewing’s Annual Hatter Family IPA Release & Hatter Days Street Party Set For June 11

imageFrom New Holland:

Every year, New Holland Brewing goes a little mad as it brews, bottles and releases an entire family of IPA-inspired craft beers to celebrate their anniversary and the beer that put them on the map – Mad Hatter, Midwest IPA. This year will be no different! Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 11th and make plans to attend the 5th annual Hatter Days Street Party in Downtown Holland.

“Hatter Days is our favorite time of year,” says New Holland vice president of retail operations and co-owner, Dave White. “Like the Mad Hatter himself, we love a good party and there’s nothing better than hitting the streets to kick-off summer and celebrate our family of IPAs, our company, and this awesome community.”

The Street Party takes place in the parking lot behind New Holland’s Pub on 8th (at the corner of 9th and College Ave.) on June 11 (3p-11p) and continues on at the after party inside (11p-1a). The free event includes live music from seven acts, both local and national (see below for full schedule). Guests will also enjoy the all-day acts from Daredevil Circus, a Beer & Cheese Pairing Smackdown, Cocktail Expo, and food from the grill. A Stop & Taste area will be created where people can enjoy lounge chairs and lawn games.New this year is the Mad Hatter Tea Party, a family-friendly event from 3-3:45p featuring kids music, snacks, and face-painting.

“This is a really special time for us,” says New Holland president Brett VanderKamp. “It’s a time for us all to celebrate all the time, energy and passion that has gone into our beer, spirits and business. It’s also an amazing event for all ages that introduces people from all over the Midwest to our community of Holland and all the downtown businesses who are doing great things here.”

The guests of honor are the five Hatter Family beers including: Mad Hatter (the patriarch IPA), Tasmanian Hatter (Galaxy IPA), Imperial Hatter (Imperial IPA), White Hatter (Belgian-style White Pale Ale), and Michigan Awesome Hatter (IPA made with Michigan-grown hops and barley). Plus the extended spirits family.

New Holland Brewing is proud to partner with the West Michigan Mental Health Foundation, benefiting the Wayne Elhart Foundation for this year’s event. All proceed from donation-based face painting, Boxed Water, and more will benefit this great cause.
