Hangar 24 Wing Over Barrel-Aged Barleywine Bottles Coming 3/26

Hangar 24 Redlands is releasing a Barrel Aged American Barleywine on March 26th! Previously known as Hammerhead, this beer boasts an 11.2% ABV, with the original and exquisite recipe! We also have a Wing Over variant, Esperanza, that is available for purchase and will be on tap during the release!

A Wing Over is a maneuver involving a steep climbing turn to a near stall, then a sharp drop of the nose, a removal of bank, and a leveling off in the opposite direction.

A well executed WING OVER is smooth and dramatic. This beer is no exception. Wing Over is a big, complex, American-style Barleywine featuring two English caramel malts and four American hops. Wing Over's character is enhanced by dry hopping and then aging the deep amber liquid for six months in charred oak rye whiskey and bourbon barrels. Spicy aromas spill from the glass: rich caramel, citrusy hops, bourbon and oak. Layered flavors of toffee, vanilla, brown sugar, spice and rye whiskey lead to a warm and slightly bitter finish. This is a strong ale, meant to be sipped, savored and enjoyed.

This beer will be available for purchase in the Tasting Room for a limited time. Available for $20 with a limit of 12 bottles per person.

Esperanza, a variant of the aforementioned beer, is also available for purchase for $25 with a limit of 2 bottles per person. Esperanza was aged in bourbon barrels for 6 months with Guatemalan coffee beans from Augie's Coffee. This is an extremely limited beer available in 750ml bottles and also on tap as well!
Hammerhead '15, Wing Over, and Esperanza will all be on tap March 26th.
