Craft Brewery Releases Mystery Leap Year Brew That Will Only Be Made Once Every Four Years

YONKERS, NY (February 23, 2016) –Yonkers Brewing Co. is releasing “Leap Beer,” a limited edition brew that will only be made once every four years to commemorate Leap Year.

“Leap Year is a fairly rare occurrence, so we wanted to brew something special for it,“ said Sharif Taleb, Head Brewer, Yonkers Brewing Co.  “It’s a fun excuse to brew something different and celebrate an occasion.”

The details on “Leap Beer” are being kept under wraps, but tasting notes suggest that it will be a pleasantly refreshing hoppy offering with fruity esters; perfect for seeing off Winter and ushering in Spring.

“We wanted to celebrate the extra day with something extra special,” said Jackie Rubbo, Director of Creative, Culture and Chaos at Yonkers Brewing Co. “We hope our customers will jump, or leap, at the opportunity to enjoy this brew.”

“Leap Beer” will only be available at Yonkers Brewing Co. from Friday, February 26 to Monday, February 29. After that, the next time it will be seen is February 29, 2020.
