Here’s your first look at The Bruery Poterie. This is the 2016 anniversary edition and it is still 100% aged in Bourbon barrels. This is a 750ml bottle and for 2016, it will now hit 16.5%-AbV (up from 14.8%). Here’s the full story of this beer form The Bruery:
Poterie is French for “pottery”, the traditional eight-year anniversary gift. Our eighth anniversary ale, Poterie, follows in the footsteps of our anniversary releases before it, which are loosely based on an English-style old ale, fermented with our house yeast strain and then blended using the solera method. This means that a portion of each anniversary ale is saved in oak barrels and blended in with the next year’s production, providing more complexity and depth of character as the years go by. The result is layered in robust and complex flavors of toffee, caramel, dark fruit, vanilla and oak. Poterie will age gracefully for decades when cellared properly. Best stored and served around 55 degrees in a tulip, wine or hand-sculpted pottery glass.
We also have Humulus Rye 2016 and this hoppy rye lager will be packaged in 750ml bottles. This beer hits 6.9%-AbV.
