Chuckanut Brewery Releases Landbier

imageFrom Chuckanut:

Landbiers are creative, rustic style lager beers brewed in the countryside in Germany. Seeing as Chuckanut Brewery excels at German lager beers it was only natural that the brewery would eventually make a Landbier. Past Chuckanut brewer Kevin Davey, now getting ready to open Wayfinder Beer in Portland, collaborated with the Chuckanut brewers on this rustic, delicious, unfiltered lager beer now on tap at Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen. When Wayfinder opens in early spring they too will have the Chuckanut Landbier on tap, the first time Chuckanut will be poured in Oregon!

Chuckanut Landbier is a golden colored lager left unfiltered resulting in a beer with a rocky white head, rich malt flavor and balance of noble hop aromas. Perfect just by itself or paired with any pizza or sandwich, Landbier is sessionable with an ABV of 5.4%. Available at Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen by the glass or to take home in growlers it will also be available in Portland sometime in March at Wayfinder Beer.

Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen, located at 601 West Holly St, was awarded the National Small Brewpub/Brewer of the Year 2009 and National Small Brewery/Brewer of the Year 2011 at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO. The full service “Kitchen” serves from 11:00am every day to guests of all ages with an eclectic fresh local menu. Bar specials include: HoPPY Hour Sun-Thurs 4-6pm, Monday Night $3 Pints, Kolsch Night Tuesday’s and more.
