From The Bruery:
Starting this Friday (1/8), and continuing for many more Fridays in the weeks to come, we have a number of releases for you. Tomorrow when we open at noon, we’ll celebrate the public bottle release of three beers: Rueuze (2015), Humulus Rueuze and Elements of Funk: Brettanomyces Claussenii.
Rueuze is our take on the traditional Belgian-style blend of lambics of different ages. We carefully select a number of oak barrels from our warehouse that have been aging our sour blonde ale for anywhere from several months to several years and blend the beers together to what we find to be the ideal flavor. Humulus Rueuze is nearly identical to Rueuze but with one major exception: heaps of Hallertau Blanc hops on top to achieve an aromatic blend like no other, inundating the senses with citrusy, tropical, funky and grassy goodness.
Elements of Funk is a series designed to showcase the similarities and differences between various strains of brettanomyces. This version, Elements of Funk: Brettanomyces Claussenii, exhibits wild, fresh, citrus and floral aromatics with pithy and herbaceous elements joining the funky, expansive party on the palate. Make sure you chill the bottle completely before opening, and then open with caution. Bottles conditioned with brettanomyces have a dependable habit of being excited to see you, and contents may gush upon opening.
On Tuesday (1/12), it just so happens that we’ll be releasing bottles of So Happens It’sTuesday in the Tasting Room for $19.99. You'll find it on tap as well. There is a two bottle limit per person until January 23, at which time that limit will be removed (if quantities remain).
So Happens It’s Tuesday is similarly dark and delicious to our Black Tuesday imperial stout, but in a more affable format, reminding us that there is always a bit of good to be found within the bad. Things happen, life goes on. This bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout, clocking in at 14% ABV, can be enjoyed in all of those moments and seasons. This limited beer will also see online sales and distribution.
