There may be only a handful of days left before the book closes on 2015, but that doesn’t mean we have geared into neutral and are coasting towards the festive season. Our latest epic small-batch beer is ready to go, so rather than keep our powder dry until the New Year it is out now, packing a punch…or to be precise, ten thunderous punches.

This multi-armed monster from the deep is a Red Rye IPA, bristling with layers of depth from a fusillade of kettle and dry hopping. The zesty pithiness of Citra and the resinous pine of Chinook square off perfectly against other munitions deployed; the caramel, cinder toffee and roastiness from the malt bill and the peppery detonation of rye.
Seeking a fitting match for the intense complexity of the beer, we have dressed our benthic outlaw in a suitably stunning small-batch label, designed for us by the supremely talented Joe Wilson. We love collaborating with artists on our small batch releases, and Joe’s cold-hearted Cephalopod is such a cool piece of artwork, we have also made it into a t-shirt, which you can buy here!
In fact, such has already been the reaction to the look of Albino Squid Assassin that some have gone to even more permanent lengths than a simple t-shirt! Our flagship Aberdeen bar already has a squid on the roster – and Assistant Manager Squidy has harnessed the defensive capability of his namesake and got himself inked up.
