Thanksgiving approaches so it’s time we gather together as humans to reflect, give thanks and celebrate the conquered months behind us.
At Half Acre, we look back on an extremely rewarding year. We got our second location pumping, grew our pack and in a month or so, we'll have an operational kitchen at our Lincoln Avenue location. We couldn't be doing what we're doing today if it weren't for the beer drinkers. You have opened your minds to our brewery and we thank you.
In honor of gathering season, we brew up a batch of Quakerbridge Barley Wine. This beer's a warmer - caramel malts thick with aggressive, forested hop character - it's a straight forward fuel for mirth. Whether you rush to the table or drag your feet to Aunt Linda's front door, Quakerbridge will grease the wheels. Some drink it fresh while the hops are still singing while others put it off for a bomb to thaw the blood - there's no one way to burn it.
