It’s time for our quarterly dive into the multiplication of our mainstay pale ale, Daisy Cutter. Seasonal darkness encroaches like plaque on the gum line and you can feel your serotonin level dip — best to hike the weight and beat back the beast: Double Daisy Cutter returns this Friday.
You’ve likely come across this beer over the years. You can toss-up Double Daisy Cutter to the exploration of more, but the process and results are something unique to its half brother. There are points of restraint and flex when mapping out the larger recipe. We hope to recreate the malt base giving it a different stance, massage the hop profile to reflect a meaner version and pound the aroma to new heights, but not muddle or over bitter the beer. Distilling down the goal, it’s a consideration in depth.
