From Odell:
On October 30, 2015, Odell Brewing celebrated their win at the 10th annual Best Companies to Work For luncheon. The brewery was named the number one medium-sized company to work for in Colorado.
In his interview for ColoradoBiz magazine, Rich Boyer, founding partner at ModernThink, the organizational development and management-consulting firm that gathers the data and determines the Best Companies to Work for rankings, said “Lots of organizations look great on paper. It’s taking that to the next level. The message is ‘We want you to be a successful human being, not just a successful employee.’” He goes on to say that “anybody can offer massages or discounted gym memberships. The game-changer is making benefits both relevant and meaningful.”
Odell Brewing employs over 100 family and employee owners. New co-owners are immediately immersed in the brewery’s culture and encouraged to spend time learning about the brand each department, brewing their own beer, and participating in open-book finance classes. The brewery also supports a variety of cross-departmental committees dedicated to maintaining company culture, wellness, sustainability and community outreach.
“We are excited and honored to be named a Best Company to Work for,” said brewery co-founder and Culture Maven Corkie Odell, “but we’re even more excited that companies are gaining recognition for how they treat and engage with their team members.”
