From Flying Dog:
“Judge each day not by the harvest you reap but by the seeds you plant…” or the beer you make.
Premiering on tap exclusively in our tasting room tomorrow is a Fresh Hop Ale, brewed with fresh hops from Pleasant Valley Hops in Rohrersville, Maryland.
Before this year’s harvest, three of our brewers went out in Pleasant Valley’s fields and selected Cascade and Chinook for a light-bodied lager fermented at ale temperatures. Their hops were picked and used in the beer within hours, all within their fresh — unprocessed state — in the kettle and hopback.
Our Fresh Hop Ale clocks in at 6.2% ABV and is the latest in our Sub Rosa series of small batch beers available only on draft and only in our tasting room. We’ll see you soon.
