Red Hare Celebrates Four Years With Sticky Stout 8/22

imageWe brought you a peek at this beer back in July…and now the details from Red Hare:

Red Hare has a lot to celebrate. In 4 short years, the company has gone from cooking beer in the basement to a brewing facility on track to produce over 10,000 barrels of beer this year. Red Hare has come a long way since the basement days; now the third largest craft brewery in Georgia, it sits in the top 10% of all craft breweries in the country. Their recent expansion will help satisfy the growing demand for Red Hare beer by increasing production capacity by approximately 5,000 barrels per year!

Red Hare’s 4th year as a brewery will culminate with a celebration and a limited bottle release in the newly renovated taproom on Saturday, August 22nd from 2:00-6:00 PM. Festivities will feature 15 beers on tap, including: Thrice Hopped IPA, Ill Tempered Hare IPL, Bourbon Barrel Aged Brown, Tequila Barrel Aged Gangway IPA, and two special birthday casks, to name a few. The Geeks Band will keep the party moving while King of Pops, Meatballerz Food Truck, Fatty’s of Atlanta and The Muenster Truck will be onsite selling delicious bites.

Red Hare Brewing Company nears completion of its brewery expansion and taproom renovation.

Since the initial groundbreaking in February 2015, Red Hare has doubled the size of their brewhouse, added a new centrifuge, and increased their fermentation capacity by 36%. The next addition will be a 40-head canning line that can fill up to 600 cans per minute at maximum capacity, a big step up from their current machine that does closer to 30! Red Hare’s taproom has also been renovated into a modern yet rustic space with a new private event area an additional indoor/outdoor bar.

Red Hare to release “Rare Hare No1″ Sour Sticky Stout limited edition bomber at Anniversary Party.

On August 22nd, Red Hare’s Sour Bourbon Barrel Aged Oatmeal Stout will be released in 22 oz bombers exclusively available at the brewery as the Bomber Tour to-go option. The tartness on the front end of this beer replaces the roasted notes of the Oatmeal Stout malts, while bourbon and vanilla notes imparted from the barrels provide a smooth finish. Each bomber was hand dipped in silver wax and individually numbered. Bomber tour tickets for the anniversary party can be purchased ahead of time here.
