Dry Dock Releases 2015 Signature Series Imperial Stout

AURORA, CO— Dry Dock Brewing Co. will release the 2015 Signature Series Whiskey Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout in 22 oz. bombers on 8/13. Last year when this beer was released, it was the first time it was available outside of the taproom. It also represented the launch of Dry Dock’s expanded Signature Series, a bevy of imperial, barrel-aged beers that includes Dry Dock’s popular Barleywine.

The Signature Series whiskey barrel-aged Imperial Stout is a robust ale with pronounced roasted bitterness that is balanced by chocolate undertones and a dark fruit backbone. This velvety textured beer ages in whiskey barrels for eight months, adding vanilla and coconut nuances to its flavor and aroma. This beer was first brewed by Dry Dock Brewing’s Director of Brewery Operations Doug Hyndman for the annual brewers’ Ho Ho Ho Slapdown brewing contest in 2012. It took second place in the contest, and the beer was so popular that it gained a place in Dry Dock’s seasonal tap lineup.

Imperial Stout will tap at Canoe Room at North Dock on Thursday, August 13 at 2pm. The beer will be available on draft and in 22-ounce bombers through the weekend. Find the beer at South Dock and in Colorado liquor stores the following week, and stay tuned for more Signature Series beer releases this fall.
