From LehighValleyLive:
Weis Markets in Allentown on Wednesday became the latest Lehigh Valley supermarket to get approval to sell beer.
Allentown City Council on Wednesday unanimously approved a liquor license transfer from the former Colonial House Restaurant in Catasauqua to the South Cedar Crest Boulevard supermarket.
In the next year, you might be able to purchase between 500 and 1000 different styles of beer from the Weis Markets in North Lebanon Township.
Weis Markets has applied to transfer a liquor license from a restaurant at 1034 Maple St., Lebanon, to its store at 1651 E. Cumberland St. If the liquor license is granted, that location would be the first grocery store in Lebanon County to sell alcohol for in-store consumption and take-out purposes.
