From Modern Times:
We're very excited to announce the forthcoming release of Monsters' Park--our hulking, cantankerous, 13% ABV imperial stout--aged in rum barrels! This beer spent 6 months aging in Caribbean & Nicaraguan rum barrels, and the results are thunderous.
In addition to the 'classic' editions, we also have three variants available: Caribbean Rum w/ Vanilla Beans, Nicaraguan Rum w/ Coconut & Cocoa Nibs, & Nicaraguan Rum w/ Rum Barrel-Aged Coffee. All three are immensely flavorful riffs on cockstaggeringly delicious base beers.
Bottles will go on-sale this Friday, May 29th at 10am via Brown Paper Tickets; all bottles must be picked up at the Lomaland Fermentorium tasting room during the two month pick-up window. We'll celebrate the release on Thursday, June 4th (the first pick-up day) with a party at the tasting room. We'll have rad beers on-tap, and it'll be super happy fun times.
HERE IS THE LINK TO THE ONLINE SALE. PLEASE READ ALL THE TERMS. You will notice that the tickets are password protected for the League pre-sale, which endstomorrow at 12pm. So don't worry about it.
IN OTHER NEWS, we just bottled Mega Black House--a big, beastly version of our year round oatmeal coffee stout! This 10% ABV ogre of a beer is drenched in house roasted coffee and roasty, aggro malt character. It unexpectedly suits current SoCal weather rather well.
Bottles can be found throughout Southern California starting next week. They are also available today at both of our tasting rooms, where you can sample this tasty sauce on-tap as well.
NEXT MONTH'S RELEASE: Universal Friend, a beautiful saison brewed with Pinot Grigio grape must. This beer has been a tasting room favorite for quite a while now, so we're very excited to be getting it into bottles.
