From Two Roads:
STRATFORD, CT--Imagine being able to relax in a private suite and watch a great hockey or basketball game, or enjoy a concert by a favorite performer, all while enjoying a growler of fresh, local craft beer poured by a state-of-the-art filling system.
“and we hope that this partnership shows how America’s love for craft beer can be brought to the live event hospitality category and create a unique and positive experience.”
Thanks to the dream team of Two Roads Brewing, The Growler Station and Centerplate, this scenario is now a reality- starting at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, CT!
In what’s being seen as a first for a live entertainment venue, the Webster Bank Arena will now be featuring 64 and 32 ounce refillable “growlers”, available for their suite level customers.
The high-quality glass growlers can be filled with a variety of Two Roads craft beers, brewed less than 3 miles away in Stratford, CT and home to some of the best craft beers in the region, including 7 brews which were awarded medals at this year’s “Great International Beer Festival.”
Once purchased, the growlers are yours to keep and can be refilled at Two Roads Brewery location at 1700 Stratford Avenue in Stratford, CT.
It’s not just the local brewing and great beer selection that makes the growler-drinking experience such a pleasure for craft beer aficionados - The Growler Station’s growler-fillers use a unique, patented Pegas counter pressure growler-filling technology that purges the oxygen in the growler and replaces it with CO2 before filling with beer, creating the perfect mix of CO2 saturation and making for a fresher, better tasting growler.
This system is also designed to keep Craft Beer fresh for 30-45 days, unlike the 1 or 2 days when growlers are filled through the traditional poured-from-a-tap method.
Centerplate, the exclusive full-service caterer and concessionaire for Webster Bank Arena and a global leader in live event hospitality, is leading the way once again by offering this latest technology and understanding the needs of craft beer-lovers as the explosion of local crafts and the demand for them continues throughout the country.
“We are thrilled that Centerplate and Webster Bank Arena have been the first to recognize the demand for local, craft-filled growlers,” said John O’Connell, Exec. VP and Co-Founder of The Growler Station™, Inc., “and we hope that this partnership shows how America’s love for craft beer can be brought to the live event hospitality category and create a unique and positive experience.”
