Woodchuck® Hard Cider Introduces Spitter Splinter Cider & New Packaging

imageFrom Woodchuck:

Woodchuck Hard Cider is proud to introduce Spitter Splinter, the next cider in the Out on a Limb lineup. Out on a Limb is a rotating six-pack that features some of Woodchuck’s most innovative cider varieties, and Spitter Splinter is the second variety to be presented in the Out on a Limb package, which rotates every 45 to 60 days.

Spitter Splinter features European bittersweet apple varieties often referred to as “spitter” apples due to their tart and acidic nature. The fermented juice is aged in bourbon barrels, resulting in a semi-dry cider. The bittersweet apples bring a dry profile and the six months aging in bourbon barrels add woody vanilla oak notes throughout. Spitter Splinter is 5.5% ABV and has a suggested six-pack retail price of $10.99.

Also hitting shelves this month is the unique Woodchimageuck Private Reserve Barrel Select Cider, which features common eating apple varieties aged in white oak bourbon barrels. Look for the newly redesigned packaging in limited quantities through February (ABV 5.5%/6.9% - SRP - $10.99).

As the temperature drops, Woodchuck Seasonal Winter Chill Cider will get you through the winter. Aged over premium French and traditional American Oak chips, Winter Chill offers a depth of apple flavor with hints of vanilla and oak. Winter Chill was the first Woodchuck Seasonal variety introduced in 2008, and is back this year with newly redesigned packaging that captures the spirit of winter in Vermont. (ABV 5% - SRP - $10.99).
