From No-Li Brewhouse:
Spokane, WA…No-Li Brewhouse continues to bring Spokane-Style innovation to the Pacific Northwest with its newest Barrel Aged Series beer – Van Lambert Barrel Aged Sour Cherry Ale. As a small batch, limited release, Van Lambert will hit select local stores on December 16th and other northwest locations the week of Christmas.
The brewery will release just 185 cases of 22oz bottles, as well as limited draft exclusively available at the brewpub and select festivals. For those looking to get a sneak peak, Van Lambert will start pouring at No-Li on Saturday, December 13th!
About the Beer
Van Lambert features 900 lbs. of cherries (500 lbs. hand-picked by the No-Li team!) from Bodacious Berries in Green Bluff, Washington – just 15 miles north of the No-Li brewery. Starting with lactobacillus in a traditional kettle sour, Mosaic and El Dorado hops were later added to create a vibrant spectrum of fruitiness.
Sweet and tart cherry flavors mingle with the alcohol as it ages for 3 months in Townsend Cellars wine barrels to provide a champagne-like essence. The French and American wine barrels add a tannin-like structure to the beer with an oaky finish.
With the release of Mosh Pit Tart Cherry 4-packs coming just a week before Van Lambert, No-Li continues to innovate in the realm of fruit infused beer recipes and bring a distinctive, Spokane-Style perspective to this exciting category.
No-Li has also been growing their barrel aged program over the last year and currently holds over 50 barrels from local distillery and neighbor, Dry Fly, and local winery Townsend Cellars. They plan to add another 50 barrels or more over the next year, and will continue to grow their barrel-aging program with more 22 oz-bottle limited releases.
