Center of the Universe is turning two this weekend and in the usual, COTU fashion, throwing a big bash to celebrate!
Ashland, Virginia, October 11th: Center of the Universe Brewing Company is turning two. Time to celebrate in COTU fashion: with three days of good beer, live music and so much more! The festivities start Friday, November 14th and end Sunday, November 16th.
Friday, November 14th: 4pm-9pm
The Richard Imperial IPA returns! This aggressive Imperial IPA keeps getting bigger as our brewers keep pumping more and more grain and hops into this monster. This year, the brew will be clocking in at a whopping 9.0%. There will be live music from Ashland’s own The Tender as well as various food trucks to take care of your dinner needs.
Saturday, November 15th: 1pm-9pm
The party continues! COTU will be tapping a dozen hard to find beers from some of their partners in Homefront IPA: Slyfox, Stone, Left Hand, 21st Amendment, Cigar City and Perennial Artisan Ales. They will be releasing the names of the beers each day on theirFacebook page.
Along with a line-up of guest taps, there will be live music from Vexine and plenty of food trucks on hand.
Sunday, November 16th: 1-9pm
Sunday, and to celebrate turning two COTU will be holding their first ever Stout Fest as well as a chocolate, cheese and beer pairing. For the first time ever, they will be pouring 5 different stouts: Shut Up Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, El Duderino, The Dude, Unseasonable Stout, and a Coffee Imperial Stout.
To really take your Sunday over the top, there will also be a Beer, Chocolate and Cheese pairing with our friends The Caboose and Chocolates by Kelly. Picture this: 6 4 oz. pours of COTU brews, 3 different artisan cheeses, and 3 different hand made chocolate truffles all mixing in your mouth and creating some of the most unique, smooth, and delectable flavors you have ever experienced. Oh yeah, its only $20 per person and includes an expert in each field to lead you on this culinary journey. Advanced tickets can be purchased at the brewery for the following time slots: 3pm & 5pm. Tickets can be purchased the day of, if slots are still available.
