We brought you the first peek at these cans back in early Sept…and now the press release coming from our pal Shane Welch at Sixpoint:

Brooklyn-based Sixpoint Brewery today announced the release of its 24 oz "SILO Can" which features industry-leading design for the craft beer community, and provides customers and fans a solution for many of their current desires. The large "silo can" features a thread-fastened and branded lid that looks like a large can but pours and reseals like a growler.

"We've been listening to our customers over the years, and many of them have remarked how they would love to buy our beers in a large single serving format. However, a recurring comment from customers was they were not seeing as much value in the traditional and antiquated 22oz bomber bottle. With all of this feedback, we are amped to be the first brewery on the planet to offer the 24oz SILO can for our customers!" remarked Shane Welch, of Sixpoint Brewery.

One of the special features of the Silo can is that it is resealable, which makes it ideal for outdoor consumption, traveling, backpacking, and hiking. "Our fans wanted a large format vessel. Instead of giving them a bomber bottle, we gave them two more ounces of beer, and a resealable can to enjoy it in. Here's to good karma!" remarked Welch.

The SILO cans shipped to select markets last week and will be in stores for distribution at retail as of this week. No animals were harmed during the production of this beer.
