BOSTON, MA - Delivery trucks will head to hills of in Canisteo, NY this week to pick up Cider Creek Hard Cider's newest liquid, its Saison Reserve.
The unfiltered cider combines Cider Creek's Premium Farmhouse recipe with a rare strand of Belgian Saison yeast to create a complex aromatic palate of mild fruit flavors with just the right amount of spice. Its earthy undertones and moderate tartness make it a perfectly balanced semi-dry, sweet cider. The Saison Reserve was test released in a few locations in Massachusetts and sold out at on-premise locations in 24 hours.
"The cider customer has come to expect a refined, diverse, high quality, product and the sales have proven it. It goes as fast as any IPA we sell," said Josh Cohen of Moe's Tavern in Lee, MA. "The sweeter, softer Saison and bone-dry Farmhouse styles show that the cider category is not a one trick pony. It challenges the consumer to take another look at their options when looking outside the beer and cocktail world."
Cider Creek's Saison Reserve will arrive at the new distributor's location, Atlantic Importing Company, today. The two came to an agreement at the beginning of September and plan to focus on growing the brand from the 300 accounts it's already in, to additional craft-focused, on and off-premise locations.
"Atlantic Importing continues to search for new craft beer and spirit lines from around the world. We are excited to partner with Cider Creek. They make an amazing product that fits with what we are trying to do with our portfolio. Their ciders taste like Normandy but are from upstate NY! They also show passion for their product and the industry. We look forward to continuing to build the brand in MA," Adam Burnham, Senior Brand Manager, Atlantic Imports.
