From interesting news coming from Anchor Brewing:
In 2012, our Brewers and Distillers created an idea to bridge our worlds: HOPHEAD Vodka, distilled entirely from the same types of hops used in the creation of some of our beers. For this upcoming 2014 Zymaster #7 release, they're at it again. This time though, roles are reversed, and the beer begins in our distillery and finishes in the brewhouse. Stay connected through this newsletter or our social channels to find out more details and when to expect the release date! This will be the final 2014 release from the Zymaster series.
Anchor's Shiny New Canning Line
Earlier this summer, we first canned our Anchor California Lager® and the response to a convenient, versatile offering has been tremendous, prompting a transition from the CanVan, a mobile canning unit, to our newly commissioned canning line at Anchor. Given our brewers excitement, don’t be surprised to be enjoying other canned Anchor Beers in the near future! While craft beer in cans isn’t new and won’t replace our bottles, to enjoy the convenience of a great can of craft beer during the remaining days of fall sometimes can’t be beat.

A Golden State Collaboration
Brotherhood Steam Beer is a Golden State Collaboration between Anchor Brewing and the Chris Robinson Brotherhood (CRB). It’s a celebration of originality and craftsmanship – bringing together handcrafted California tunes and handcrafted California brews. We like to think of Brotherhood Steam Beer as an Extra Special Lager (ESL), aka “The Gig Beer” – an easy drinking brew from the first set to encore. This collaborative brew will be tapped at select music venues across the US to celebrate the Brotherhood’s new album and tour. Enjoy the tasting notes and find out where to grab upcoming CRB show tickets to try this current draught only brew.
