UPDATE 10:25AM EST 5 Sept 2014 - …and just like that…the Bottle Reserve Club is SOLD OUT!

The page to join is here!

If you’ve been to the brewery lately you’ve no doubt noticed that our barrel collection has been growing steadily since our first barrels arrived in October of 2012. Currently we’re housing roughly 150 barrels of assorted varieties. We have Port, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Red Burgundy, Pinot Noir, Chambourcin, and Shiraz wine barrels, as well as Wild Turkey, and Buffalo Trace Bourbon barrels, and a select amount of Glenfiddich and Jack Daniels Whiskey barrels. In the coming months we have Rum barrels, and Brandy barrels on the way as well. Needless to say, we’ve got a lot going on with our barrel program.

In the past 12 months we’ve released Bourbon barrel versions of our Leon Russian Imperial Stout, and Concrete Pillow American Barleywine, as well as our recently released sour fermented/aged beer, Beast Infection, a barrel aged/soured version of our Tribute Tripel aged for 18 months in Port barrels from Buckingham Valley Vineyards here in Bucks County. In the coming months we have barrel aged/soured beers like In the Midnight Sour, our Belgian Dubbel soured and aged in Chambourcin red wine barrels for 18 months on a single strain of Brettanomyces, raspberries, and cocoa nibs, our yet to be named French Biere de Garde that’s been aging/souring in Pinot Noir barrels for over a year on a single strain of Brettanomyces, and blackberries. Later this year we’ll be releasing a Bourbon barrel aged version of Punkless Dunkel Pumpkin Wheat Ale, and in early 2015 we have a Buffalo Trace Bourbon barrel aged version of Leon Russian Imperial Stout coming along with a lot of other fun releases in 2015 we hope will intrigue and excite you.

With all these barrels we have some very limited beers coming out in the near future. Some limited to just barely 100+ bottles. This is where you come in.

Over the past four months we’ve had a lot of people asking us about a ‘Bottle Club’ or ‘Reserve Society’. Honestly, we hadn’t given it much thought until a discussion with our good friend Jamie Bogner from Craft Beer and Brewing magazine during the Craft Brewers Conference, and we’re now ready to introduce you to the Neshaminy Creek Brewing Bottle Reserve Club.

There are a lot of bottle clubs and reserve societies out there, so what would make Neshaminy Creek any different or special?

For starters, we’re going to keep things small and very limited. We’re not trying to make any promises we can’t keep, and we’re not trying to get in to deep over our heads. We’re keeping things modest, and something very attainable for the brewery, and accessible for those that are interested. While we have a pretty ambitious barrel program, we’re not trying to make promises we won’t be able to keep by ensuring our members too many bottles in two short a timeframe.  On top of all of that, now that many of of core brands are now being offered in 12 ounce cans, our production schedule wouldn’t allow us to do a heavily involved bottle club like those at other larger, more established breweries.

So, to get things started, we’re only accepting 100 members, and memberships will be for three years.

With that membership you’ll be guaranteed six (6) bottles of an exclusive offering that will never be made available to the general public. Not EVER. We’re working on a schedule now to work with the barrels we have in house and the barrels we have coming in the months ahead to create some truly unique and limited offerings for our bottle reserve club members, but the first bottle we’re making available to members will be either the Jack Daniels Whiskey Barrel Aged Concrete Pillow or the Glenfiddich Whisky Barrel Aged Concrete Pillow. Members will also have the choice of purchasing an addition both of either of these offerings at $25 a bottle, and these bottles will only be allocated to society members and a small number will also be made available to the Churchville Inn (who provided access to these particular barrels for Neshaminy Creek Brewing).

After your initial choice you will be guaranteed five (5) additional bottles during the course of your three year membership. Neshaminy Creek Brewing will make no less than two bottle reserve club offerings available per year for the duration of your membership.

In addition, for bottle reserve club members we will allocate 100 bottles of each public bottle release for each member to be purchased outside of your society membership fee. These bottles will be allocated for 60 days for society members and will not be released for general sale until after the 60 day allotment time has been exceeded and if there are any bottles that go unsold.

Society members will also receive a limited edition Bottle Reserve Club footed piece of glassware, and members only t-shirt.

Neshaminy Creek Brewing Bottle Reserve Club memberships are $150, limited to 100 members, and last for three years. After three years we will revisit the society rules and the current state of our barrel program to either allow for more members, or to continue the program as is with loyal first time members getting first opportunity to participate for an additional three years.

TO RECAP:

- Memberships cost $150 and will be limited to 100 members

- Memberships are for three (3) years

- Guaranteed six (6) bottles throughout your membership with at least two society exclusive offerings produced each year (NOT 6 BOTTLES PER YEAR, 6 BOTTLES TOTAL FOR  YOUR MEMBERSHIP)

- All members are required to pick up their guaranteed and allocated bottles locally.  Pennsylvania law does not allow us to ship beer out of state, so plan accordingly!

- Initial bottle offering will be of either the Jack Daniels Whiskey Barrel Aged Concrete Pillow or Glenfiddich Whisky Barrel Aged Concrete Pillow. After your choice you will be given the opportunity to purchase the other initially offered bottle at $25 per bottle, limit one bottle per member. We will not be making these bottles available to the general public except through the Churchville Inn and their guaranteed allocation because of their participation in securing these barrels on behalf of the brewery.

- Guaranteed allocation of one bottle per member for sixty days on all general public brewery bottle releases

- Limited edition society member t-shirt and footed glassware

- Proxy or Trustee appointments/arrangements to pickup a members beer can be made after membership is secured.  Each member may designate 1 (one) Trustee to pickup beer on their behalf

With all of that, “What are our upcoming barrel and bottle release plans?”  Glad you asked…
