Pelican / Ecliptic Co-Brewed Pelican Nebula Coming 8/14

From Pelican and Ecliptic Brewing:

In early July the stars aligned as Pelican Brewing Company and John Harris from Ecliptic Brewing Company combined forces for the first time ever to create Pelican Nebula; An Oregon Uncommon Ale. Taking inspiration from the "Common" or "Steam" beers of the West Coast frontier era, Pelican Nebula also takes its name from the stargazing theme of Ecliptic Brewing Company and the Pelican Nebula itself.

Left to Right: John Harris (Ecliptic Brewing), Darron Welch (Pelican Brewing), and Whitney Burnside (Pelican Brewing)

With a grain bill of Pale Ale, Vienna and Munich malts, the malty backbone of this beer has both a richness and a toasted dryness. Blended Aramis and Meridian hops provide floral, earthy notes with a distinct tangerine character.  Fermentation with lager yeast at ale temperatures gives this beer its distinctive fruity aroma and clean lager-like finish.

Even though the beer style might be called common, there is nothing commonplace

about this Oregon Uncommon Ale!

Pelican Nebula will be available in draft only at Ecliptic Brewing and at the Pelican Tap Room in Tillamook as well as the Pelican Pub & Brewery in Pacific City while supplies last. For more information on other locations pouring this rare ale follow us on twitter.
