Good Nature Farm Brewery & Tap Room releases 2014 Barrel Aged Sour Offering:

Every year since GNB opened in 2012, they’ve released a special single batch Barrel Aged Ale.  Starting last year, they switched over to aging only sour ales in their barrels. The 2014 release, dubbed Raz-Bretty Porter, comes out this week on August 9th.  In past years, they have limited our Sour Ales to draft offerings.  This year, they will release just 500 750ml bottles of Raz-Bretty Porter.  This specialty ale will only be available at the Good Nature Tap Room in downtown Hamilton, and will be limited to two bottles per customer.  As in years past, they are brining a rare keg of this special brew to BCTC the same day as the release.
Beer Description:
We aged our Raz-Bretty Porter in bourbon barrels with brettanomyces and fresh raspberries for a full year. The funky sour flavors from the yeast meld with subtle oak and bourbon notes. Raspberries impart a refreshing flavor & aroma reminiscent of a fine framboise liqueur. 7.5% ABV

Next on the docket for barrel-aging: a delectable
Flemish Red Ale brewed with lots of NY grown goodness to be release in 2015.  Stay tuned for progress on our new barrel aged sour.

In August 2013, they released our Sour Bourbon Brown Ale, aged on fresh dark cherries for almost a year, on draft exclusively.
