From Modern Times:
A brand new IPA with loads of peachy Australian Summer hops
I'll start you off with the sad news: Booming Rollers--our Citra, Motueka, Centennial hopped IPA--is nearly gone at our tasting rooms. In fact, tomorrow we will tap our last kegs at the Lomaland Fermentorium & the North Park Flavordome. So if you want a pint before it goes away for a long while, this is the week to visit us.
But here's the good news: we just brewed a brand new IPA to replace it. Phalanx, at 7.5% ABV & 100 IBUs, is somewhere between a single IPA & a double IPA. It prominently features Australian Summer hops, which bring a very distinctive peach/melon character to the beer. That awesome fruit character is balanced by some citrusy Chinook hops & a touch of dankness from Horizon. All in all, we're pretty excited about this aggressive new member of our IPA family.
Phalanx will make its debut at our 1st Anniversary Party on July 12th & 13th. Speaking of which, tickets are selling briskly, so I'd urge you not to wait too long to get yours. The beers are tasting absolutely phenomenal, and we've got some really exciting surprises up our sleeve. So don't sleep on this one; it'll be a party for the ages.
