Uinta Introduces 801 Pilsner Cans

From Uinta:

As a tribute to their hometown, Uinta Brewing Company introduces 801 Pilsner. The 801 brand embodies Uinta’s appreciation and enthusiasm for the Utah market who has been supporting and drinking Uinta for 21 years. Uinta pays subtle tribute to Utah area codes 435 and 385 on the packaging but embraced 801 for the brand name as historically the 801 area code encompassed all of Utah.
The 801 brand also signifies Uinta’s long-time support of local organizations and movements. Uinta is labeling 801 Pilsner as their “Community Builder” brand and will be donating proceeds and generating awareness for local non-profit organizations. Partnering non-profits will alternate and the featured organization’s logo will be incorporated on the 801 packaging.
For the initial release of 801, Uinta has partnered with the Utah Avalanche Center(UAC), an organization that Uinta has been supporting for 20 years. The Utah Avalanche Center’s mission is to provide backcountry riders with the tools and information they need to stay on top of the great snow in Utah.

“We’re excited to take our support one step further and to spawn greater awareness for UAC and the importance of avalanche education and safety here in Utah. Community involvement is a large component of Uinta’s DNA and we are eager to spread neighborhood engagement and camaraderie through the 801 brand.” - Uinta Owner, Will Hamill

In effort to engage the community, future 801 non-profit partners can be nominated through Uinta’s website beginning July, 2014.
801 is a light-bodied and refreshing Pilsner that is quaffable and smooth, an approachable beer style that appeals to the masses in hopes of linking more consumers in the collective effort to build the Utah community through beer.
Uinta’s 801 Pilsner will launch as a Utah-only brand and is scheduled to hit shelves the first week of July. Utah Art Festival goers will have the opportunity to experience the 801 brand which will be the featured beer festival wide June 26-29, 2014.
