Idle Hands - Riding Shotgun & 23° 26'

From Idle Hands:

Our newest beer, Riding Shotgun combines the characteristics of a German hefeweizen with the hoppiness of a pale ale to give an interesting twist on a summer wheat beer. We fermented Shotgun low to give you more spice than banana and then we hit it with a combination of German Opal, Sorachi Ace and Amarillo hops to create an herbal, citrusy lemon hop character.  Please, no additional lemon-squeezing required for this beer! Both bottles and growler fills will be available at the brewery beginning Saturday.

For those that were lucky enough to attend the American Craft Beer Festival (aka the ACBF) this year or to have been to the brewery recently, we have released a new "Hoppy Tripel" named after the tilt of the Earth's semi-axis during the Summer Solstice (23 degrees, 26 minutes or 23-26 as we call it).  This beer isn't Triplication with hops in it; it is a completely different recipe brewed with local wildflower and pepperbush honey, and loaded with a combination of spicy continental and juicy American & New Zealand hops including Saaz, Aurora, Amarillo and Galaxy.  Wow. It's been on tap for just a few weeks now but the reviews are in and people have been loving it.  Starting Saturday, we'll be releasing bottles at the brewery!
