Harvester Launches Gluten-Free Draft Beer In Seattle, WA

From Harvester Brewing:

Harvester Brewing is pleased to announce their first draft beer release in Seattle, Washington with their newest IPA, No. 3. The grain bill of IPA No. 3 features both roasted chestnuts and roasted buckwheat.  Crystal and Santiam hops are added throughout the boil and as dry-hops.

Maintaining the integrity of their gluten free beer from production to the consumer has always been Harvester’s top priority. Draft beer provides new challenges that don’t arise with bottled product. Harvester has worked with the Gluten Free Certification Organization to develop guidelines to help ensure the safe handling of the beer from the brewery to the consumer’s glass. Razzi’s Pizzeria in Greenwood and The Beer Junction in West Seattle have both committed to these safe-practices which include cleaning procedures, making sure that draft equipment is clear of any gluten contamination, and identifiable glassware, ensuring Harvester’s beer, once poured, is not confused with beer that contains gluten.

The event at Razzi’s Pizzeria (8523 Greenwood Ave N) will be held Friday, April 4th from 3pm-9pm.

The event at The Beer Junction (4511 California Ave SW) will be held Saturday, April 5th from 2pm-4pm.

James and Paxton from Harvester Brewing will be at both events to answer questions, pour samples, and give away a few pint glasses and t-shirts. Kegs of IPA No. 3 will be available at other area pubs and restaurants in the following weeks.

About Razzi’s Pizzeria
Razzi’s Pizzeria decided over five years ago to diversify and offer four different menus to serve traditional, gluten-free, vegan and gluten-free/vegan.  They heard from many of our customers that they had been diagnosed with gluten-intolerance or celiac disease meaning they could no longer enjoy the foods they had grown up with. Razzi’s sources as many of their ingredients as possible from local, organic markets. They hand-craft their own gluten-free/vegan baguettes and pizza dough in their own Certified GF Bakery.  Razzi’s took top honors in the 2013 Seattle Gluten-Free Awards in several categories.
