As part of the Colorado Brewer's Guild's annual Colorado Craft Beer Week Celebration this March, we've hooked up with some old friends to collaborate on a beer. Sanitas Brewing Company, a popular addition to Boulder's brewing scene, was founded a few years ago by two of our brewhouse alumni. So, it only seemed natural to hook up with this crew for the inaugural Collaboration Fest to be held March 22.
Our brewers here will be heading over to the Sanitas brewhouse in the coming weeks to mash, boil, and swap brew stories while they put together a new beer in the California Common style.
And since the logo of Sanitas is an owl, we all thought the beer should be called "Empty Nest" in honor of these crazy birds flying from Boulder Beer south across the railroad tracks and setting out on their own.
Empty Nest will be available at the festival, but also at a select few great-beer bars around Boulder. We'll keep you up to date in our next newsletter, as well as social media.
